OPADD participants have a keen interest in working with policy-makers to ensure that service system improvements are inclusive of the needs of older adults with developmental disabilities.

OPADD reviews discussion and position papers of government and planning bodies and participates in consultations. OPADD regularly submits comments and findings based on the experience of regional and local groups, to inform policy-makers about cross sector issues related to aging and developmental disabilities.
